Krause House Painting and Finishing Inc. has been painting Eastside neighborhoods since 1977. Begun as "K and F Painting", Steve Krause and his best friend were looking for a way to pay their way through college. Typically charging less than seven-hundred dollars for a house, Steve and his buddy had no problem finding customers. At the same time Steve learned invaluable lessons on starting a business, customer service, painting skills, and great work ethics. Neither Steve nor his friend planned on continuing to paint after college. Both went on to receive degrees and worked in their chosen fields. Steve became a school teacher and coach for eight years; but after a number of years earning more in the summer than all year as a teacher, it was time to pursue painting on a full time basis.

  In the fall of 1989, Krause House Painting was born. Since that time KHP Inc. has achieved slow steady growth every year by developing an intimate knowledge of eastside homes as well as the products that provide lasting protection in the Northwest. We take pride in serving our customers in a courteous workmanship-like manner. Measures are taken to show respect for the customer's home We fully realize the time

and expense people have put into making their homes their havens and sanctuary away from the fast pace of every-day life.

  Our goal is to work with the homeowner and the talents within the umbrella of KHP Inc. to improve the esthetics and beauty of the home. KHP Inc's work is largely referral-based and repeat business. This means we have to leave a job with the customer 100% satisfied with the work we did and willing to recommend us to the next person. KHP Inc. performs only 60-70 jobs a year with 1-2 crews under the watchful eye of Steve Krause. Rather than sending out multiple crews in different directions; quality is maintained to the highest degree with company trained employees that have been with KHP Inc. for five to eight years. KHP Inc. employees understand home ownership and the pride associated with quality workmanship that leads to lasting results.
